Yes, each participant should bring a small nutritious snack as there will be a ~10 minute break during the clinic. Fluid intake is also encouraged during the workshop. Each participant should bring a waterbottle filled with water (no need for sports drinks). Although there will be water available at the association, please make sure you come with your water bottle filled and ready to go- you’re sure to get pretty thirsty from the first whistle!

Please note that we can not guarantee that all associations will have canteen facilities available on the day.

Does my child need to bring a netball?

No, all equipment will be provided by the Fuel2Fly team.

What should my child wear to Fuel2Fly?

Comfortable clothing and enclosed footwear suitable for lots of active movement! i.e., t-shirt or singlet, bike pants, shorts or leggings and joggers. In the case of rain, it’s a good idea to pack a spare top and jumper.
It is also a requirement for all participants to wear a hat or visor during the clinics and apply appropriate sun protection.

My child has registered and her friend is also attending the clinic- can they be in the same group?

If you would like to submit a group request please nominate ONE parent to email [email protected] with your request. Please ensure that you include the Clinic you are attending and the full names of each participant (First and Last name).

Fuel2Fly encourages participants to socialist and interact with new people at each clinic, so large group requests, whilst accommodated, will still likely be separated for some activities during the clinic.

How are the groups allocated during the workshop?

The Fuel2Fly Team allocates participants into groups according to the age/year levels they. In the event of uneven numbers across age groups, participants may be combined with netballers from the age/year group above or below their own.

My child is 8 turning 9 in this year after the scheduled Fuel2Fly Clinic we would like to attend. Are they still able to register?

Yes. The ages specified are based on the age your child will turn in the 2018 calendar year.

My child is currently 14 but will turn 15 in this year, are they able to participate in Fuel2Fly?

Unfortunately not as age ranges are based on the age your child will turn in the calendar year.

In the event of low clinic numbers, the age range for workshops may be expanded to include older/younger children. This will be determined by the Fuel2Fly team prior to the clinic and advertised on the Fuel2Fly link on www.fuel2fly.com.au.

My child has never played netball- are they still able to attend Fuel2Fly?

YES! We are very passionate about exposing new children to our sport. Whilst Fuel2Fly has a small netball focus, the majority of activities in the workshop require no previous netball awareness/experience. During the netball components, the facilitators will aim to modify activities where necessary to enable all children to participate regardless of skill level.

Can we turn up to Fuel2Fly unregistered and pay on the day?

Unfortunately not. To enable our workshops to run smoothly and ensure participants have the best experience possible, walk-ins are not accepted on the day of the workshop. We encourage you to sign up early to avoid unnecessary disappointment.

What can I expect to learn from the clinic?

The clinic is designed to be a fun and interactive experience for participants. They can expect to gain an insight into general strength and conditioning, nutrition, leadership and goal setting as well as expanding their netball skills.

Is there anything I can do if I miss out on a place at the clinic?

Unfortunately it is first in best dressed policy. If a clinic is full and you would like your child/ren to be placed on a waiting list, please contact us via email at [email protected].

How will I know that my registration form and payment received?

Each clinic will vary on how many participants will be accepted depending on the venue and how many players/coaches are involved.   It is best to submit a completed registration form as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
